Many folks out there believe that the kitchen is the most important room in the home, and I am one of those people. There are so many different parts that go into creating the perfect kitchen. You have to this about the right appliances, countertops, cabinets, tiling, backsplash, and so much more.
Something that you may not consider as much is the lighting of a kitchen. This is usually because when lighting is really working for a room, it goes unnoticed. When lighting is not working with a room, it’s usually pretty well noticed!
When it comes to incorporating chandeliers in the kitchen you most definitely want your light fixture to be noticed! Chandeliers usually mean that you’re looking to formalize your space a little bit, and there are so many different ways that you can do that.

1. The Craftsman Kitchen of Dreams
We’re starting out this collection very strong with this beautiful classically designed kitchen. Though some may say that this kitchen is perhaps a bit outdated, there are some really tasteful elements that deserve to be noticed.
Starting with the impeccably made wooden cabinets that are clearly made by a very skillful craftsman. The kitchen island counters match the wall kitchen countertops in a beautiful dark marble. The kitchen island is a super interesting shape and a lovely breakfast bar to boot.
The reason why this kitchen is so effective because of how cohesive it is. There is not a single element tht really stands out to you, and that includes the chandelier. This chandelier is classic and cute with each little lightbulb having its own lampshade.
2. The Cutesy Kitchen
I find this kitchen just so adorable. Of course it isn’t an extravagant design, it’s not a custom made kitchen, there aren’t elements that are particularly unique and glamorous, but it is a kitchen that makes you feel cozy and at home.
This is a modestly sized kitchen with a lovely L shape and a round table for the dining area. I personally love a round table, it really entices you to stay and chat longer than any other shape of table in my opinion. The features in the room are bright and simple, with nice wooden elements to bring some warmth.
But THEN you look up at the chandelier and you see why this room is called the cutesy kitchen. That modern and fun chandelier is certainly making a statement those incredibly cute flower lampshades, bringing a little whimsy to this cozy kitchen. We adore!
3. The Classy Classy Kitchen
Here we have a beautiful family friendly kitchen. This is a home that clearly has and needs a lot of space and this kitchen comes equipped with everything that you need to feed a big family or a group of loved ones.
I’m always a fan of a black and wood theme, and we see that executed beautifully here with the light stained wooden cabinetry and the dark countertops and backsplash. We have a super generously sized kitchen island with its own built in sink and a cozy breakfast bar with some very comfortable looking stools tucked in underneath.
Here we have a chandelier that is so perfectly camouflaged in with the rest of the kitchen design because it shares the same color scheme. Another design where everything is designed to create one cohesive look, which is very important for a room like a kitchen.
4. The Alice in Wonderland Kitchen
Now I acknowledge that not everyone is going to be the biggest fan of this kitchen design, but you most certainly have to acknowledge that it is such a fun design, and it is most certainly not a room that you’re going to see every day.
Of course the checkerboard table is the centrepiece of this room and automatically brings such a fun vibe. These absolutely ridiculous patterned chairs clash in the most perfect way (are you seeing those fish backs?) which clash even further with those striped patterned rugs. Honestly, I live.
The bones of the kitchen are rather classic with gorgeous dark hardwood cabinets, but again we see some serious flare with the candle chandelier that is ornately decorated with crystals and metal work of flowers and vines. Really special, really over the top, but in the best way.
5. The Kitchen of Class
This kitchen has so many elegant and classic elements to it, from the gorgeous tiling and the ornately designed cabinetry, the beautiful and glamorous crown moulding, and all of the extra little design flares around the cabinets.
Honestly I wish that stainless steel fridge wasn’t such a giant as it takes away from the gorgeous elements in the rest of the room, because the rest of it is so dainty. The kitchen island is just for prep (no extra seating) but it’s the perfect size for the shape of this room.
The lovely chandelier that has been incorporated into the design has a nice distressed antique effect to it, which really compliments the effect of the cabinetry.
6. The Elegance Kitchen
I just wish that someone was actually living in this house when these photos were taken, because the bones of the room are so good that you can only imagine how lovely it must be in there when it’s actually lived in!
This is a wonderful representation of simplicity and elegance all incorporated into one design. The kitchen island is an impressive size with a little nook where you can tuck in some bar stools. And we always love when an island has its very own sink built in!
The tiling seems to blend right into the cabinets on the island, whereas the rest of the cabinets are stained a simply gorgeous dark brown. The chandelier here is so well incorporated into the room in that it matches the hardware found around the sink and handles.
7. The Beautifully Classic Kitchen
This room isn’t doing anything legendary, but you definitely wouldn’t mind having your morning coffee or tea at that kitchen island, would you? We have very classic elements starting with the craftsman style kitchen island that contrasts so nicely against the main white cabinets.
We see a very classic brick backsplash, but what really takes this room to another level is the absolutely incredible vaulted ceilings with skylights. The hanging chandelier both literally and figuratively brings the light down from the ceiling and ties the whole room together.
8. The Right at Home Kitchen
Clearly the main focus of this room is the incredibly generously sized kitchen island with its very own kitchen sink built right in, and a teeny bit of room for stools at the opposite side of it. I adore how huge this kitchen is, and how we have countertops and cabinets on every side.
The shape of it really leads your eye towards the huge back window which makes it feel open, airy, and wonderfully bright. The dark hardwood cabinets are so beautifully made and the chandeliers bring a warm and classic element to the space.
9. The Hearth Kitchen
I really love this cozy cozy kitchen. The island that juts out from the wall encloses the kitchen area into its own little cove making it feel very cozy. Especially with that lovely stonework and gorgeous countertop.
The main parts of the kitchen are comprised of gorgeous stonework tiling for the backsplash, custom hardwood cabinets, a matching kitchen island, and we also see a classically shaped chandelier hanging over the kitchen island to tie the whole room together.
10. The Den Kitchen
I simply adore any kitchen that has pot hangers in it. There is something about a pot hanger that makes a room feel so welcoming and inviting, and it’s a dream of mine to have one in my home one day. Of course, this demands higher ceilings which we see in this kitchen with gorgeous exposed wood beams.
Want to know what’s extra special about this pot hanger feature? It has the lighting built into it! We see a rustic styled candle chandelier on the top side with hooks on the other. This is such a beautiful and rustic design feature that I’m totally stealing for when I can one day design my own kitchen.
Another amazing feature of this room is the two tiered kitchen island – one higher side for the prepping countertop, and one lower side to be used as a breakfast bar. We love a built in kitchen island sink, but this one has a DOUBLE SINK.
11. The Black and Gold Kitchen
This is a super deluxe kitchen. I’ve written a lot of these articles and I can’t say that I’ve ever seen one before that’s trying out such a bougie design with black and gold accents. Though not my personal favorite look for a kitchen, I can appreciate how well done it is and the effect that it has.
This room is made even more classy and fancy with white countertops and a beautifully designed kitchen island, stunning ceilings, and a very dainty golden chandelier with some natural looking elements to warm up the feel of the room. This particular chandelier is making quite the statement, but then again, this entire room is.
12. The Jade Room Kitchen
This is a very special room for so many reasons. Now we all love a good window, but I almost can’t handle how amazing these incredible floor-to-ceiling bay windows are, which become all the more incredible when you notice they’re leading you all the way up to that turret ceiling.
The room is made even more impressive with shiny, mahogany wood floors, that pairs so wonderfully with all of the jade features in the room like the countertops and and wall paint. Beautiful white cabinets match the window frames and ceiling, turning the entire room into incredible elegance.

13. The Country Dream Kitchen
Another super cozy craftsman kitchen that just makes you want to sit down for hours peeling apples, making dough, and baking a pie. I adore how close together everything is in this kitchen, so that everyone is within reach when you’re buzzing around. However, I have a feeling I would very quickly get annoyed if I had another person in there with me!
We see stunning vaulted ceilings, distressed antique cabinets, funky green shutters, an amazing rustic kitchen island, an incredible gas stove and tons of house plants. We have a chandelier hanging over the main sink area which brings the rustic and antique look to a whole other level.
14. The Cozy Classic Kitchen
I am in love with every single element of this kitchen design. It may seem a little bit busy upon first glance, but I really enjoy how every element is completely different but brought together, creating a super eclectic feel.
We have super gorgeous antique hardwood peeping out from underneath the floor runner, a blue country style kitchen island with a butchers block for a countertop, a separate dark hardwood breakfast bar for inviting seating, stunning antique ivory cabinets, stone tiling for the backsplash, marble countertops, an amazing farmhouse sink, and two crystal chandeliers up in the ceiling that bring an added sense of glamor. Incredible!
15. The Sleek & Modern Kitchen
The first word that came to mind when I saw a photo of this kitchen is wow. It’s impressive in every single way; in size, in openness, in concept, and in execution. This super modern and minimal kitchen design actually has a lot going on, but it’s all simply done.
We have beautiful concrete tiles for flooring that have been coated to shine, we have shiny laminate dark brown cabinets and shiny white countertops as well, making everything feel very sleek, new, and fresh. The open concept guiding to the living area makes the entire space feel huge.
What really modernizes this kitchen is the use of stainless steel decor. We see this in the hardware around the sink and the handles, and we obviously see it in that super funky globe chandelier with various lightbulbs hanging in the centre.
16. The Heavenly Home Kitchen
A classic kitchen design that offers you everything that you could possibly want or need for your kitchen space. Everything in this room in generous, from the huge centre kitchen island with its own sink, the double stove and double oven, and the ample amount of storage and counter space.
Ivory cabinets contrast beautifully against dark stone cabinets, and again against the dark hardwood flooring. I particularly love the shelf that’s built around the stove that is there truly just for display. The lighting underneath the upper shelving, creating a wonderful sense of depth.
Speaking of lighting, the tri-lantern chandelier here is fancy enough to make a statement, but not so much so that it takes away from any of the other elements in the room. Really gorgeous!
17. The Dream Vacation Kitchen
The dream vacation home kitchen really reminds me of the homes that I would visit when I’d travel with my partner to various ski lodges in Aspen. Those kitchens are there to serve as many people as possible hence the extravagant amount of space seen here.
We have an enormous island with a huge breakfast bar to accommodate a bunch of seating and also a huge amount of prep space and storage space. Again, we love an island that has its own sink built right in!
Incredible vaulted ceilings, a stunning stone archway, and an overall impressive foundation makes this a grand room of a kitchen. It’s rustic, it’s modern, it’s cozy, and it’s also a little bit gaudy when you notice that huge chandelier right in the middle!
18. The Nothing-but-Windows Kitchen
I’ve never seen a kitchen like this, and I love it purely for how different it is from the rest of the kitchen designs in this collection. This is a super modern and minimal kitchen design from top to bottom. As long as you use the best of the best, you only need so much, you know?
I love the color of this beachy hardwood flooring, which really warms up the chrome waterfall kitchen island (which is absolutely enormous I might add). Super mode cubic kitchen stools are tucked under the dining portion of the island.
The sheer size of this window makes you gasp, but then you notice the beautiful greenery outdoors and really appreciate the fact that the window almost makes you feel like you’re sitting outside. The white chandeliers are a bit of a surprise compared to the rest of the choices made in this room, but somehow they completely work.
19. The Great Room Kitchen
Another incredibly elegant and extravagant kitchen here. From top to bottom, we see only the best materials. That vaulted ceiling is one of the most incredible things I’ve ever seen, which also holds one of those most beautiful crystal chandeliers that I’ve ever seen as well.
The limestone floors feel so warm and inviting, while the gob smacking kitchen island with stunning stonework entices you to sit and stay a while, especially when you see just how comfy those stools look.
We have gorgeous cabinetry, a farmhouse style kitchen sink, and little decorations around the room that make the kitchen feel so inviting and cozy, while being really impressive and elegant at the same time.
20. The Suburban Dream Home Kitchen
Natural light streams through the glass-panelled windows in this kitchen with a wooden central island fitted with a sink and lighted by a wrought iron chandelier. I believe that this chandelier could also be used as a pot hanger by incorporating a couple hooks here n’ there.
This super generously sized kitchen island gives you tons of space not only for prep, and you can hardly notice those little stools tucked in to the side! I truly adore the wrap around kitchen style, and this one is done so well.
21. The Slice-of-the-City Kitchen
I think this kitchen is just so cute. This tiny apartment probably doesn’t have too much space to work with, but still this open and airy kitchen has everything that you need for the day to day. I love that little window giving you a little slice of the town outside.
The light colored theme makes everything feel nice and open, especially when you use a darker color for the floor to create some depth. The little fun chandelier on the ceiling really brings the minimal design to a new funky fresh place.
22. The Extra Extravagance Kitchen
Here we have another kitchen that just stuns you with how impressive it is. Some may feel that this is a little bit outdated, but you really can’t deny the beautiful design and execution we see here. From the distressed custom stools that match the cabinetry, to the incredible stone surrounding the stove.
That is such a gorgeous open window that leads your eye straight to the incredible rustic ceiling with antique exposed beams. Everything is really elevated by those crystal pendant chandeliers and the amazing marble countertops.
23. The Fancy Kitchen
Luxury kitchen with glass front cabinets and a white kitchen island fitted with an oven and lighted by a pair of fabulous chandeliers that hung from the coffered ceiling. This kitchen concept is so many things at the same time. It’s fancy, it’s cozy, it’s elegant, it’s a little bit over the top.
I wish that I could see the entire kitchen, for on the left you see that the kitchen backs up and continues on to the left, letting you know that this is just the beginning. A stunning kitchen island with a built in breakfast bar makes you feel cozy, while the dark crystal chandelier makes you feel impressed.
