Why this recipe works

There is something about the subtle sweetness of elderflower that I just can't get enough of. And I'm not really one for a super sweet co*cktail.

Elderflower adds just the perfect amount of sweet and smooth to a co*cktail without being overpowering.

So be careful, this martini is so smooth, your glass will be empty before you know it.

FAQs

Why do you shake martinis?

The answer is simple. Martinis are best ice cold and shaking them not only combines the ingredients, but chills them at the same time.

Can you make these ahead of time?

Absolutely! I love to make a batch of these co*cktails ahead of time so happy hour is a snap. I store them in a mason jar and then shake over ice before serving.

Why is my drink a different color?

The drink can be a different color depending on the brand of elderflower liqueur you use. St. Germain is a darker color than the Drillaud (which is one of our favorites!).
