Mark S So glad I waited 17 years to watch this series. Right up there with the very best TV dramas of all time. A touching look at Americana. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/23 Full Review Dave K Satisfying ending. All seasons will always be one of my favorites and one of the most rewatchable shows of all time Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/08/23 Full Review Kris C This is one of the best TV series of the modern era. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/05/23 Full Review Regal R 80/100 - Honestly not a bad show. Some of the characters and writing is a bit odd. Its hit or miss. It's either really funny with great, witty dialogue, or it flops to some weird writing with plot holes, bad pacing, etc.. It wasnt received well and its hard for me to rate this because the first 2 seasons are mostly great. Season 3 is kind of bad. Season 4 gets revamped with michael b jordan but is still meh. season 5 is a bit better. Like I said the show is both good and bad, hit or miss throughout the episodes, I kind of wish the characters stuck to their character type instead of every single character changing to the opposite of who they started as. It makes the show kind of hard to watch because it's very predictable when you know if X happened last episode, the character will do Y next episode. Unrealistic in that aspect and breaks the 4th wall. Wroth watching though, its a drama for sure but its decent. Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Alyx Vesey Bitch Media Much like Mike Judge's King of the Hill, I appreciate Friday Night Lights' commitment to place and the specification of character in a rural Texas suburb. Dec 29, 2020 Full Review Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Jen Chaney Washington Post While the finale contained some major developments, it was the little things that made every moment so resonant and real, including every gorgeously rendered detail in that closing montage. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (3) David Plotz Slate It was perfect. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Mark Jackson Epoch Times With its big heart and noble characters, it's a story about American small-town existence, sports as upward mobility, haves versus have-nots, racism, and finding meaning in life. Very inspiring. Rated: 5/5 Sep 29, 2022 Full Review Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Glen Chapman Den of Geek It's great to see a show bow out on such a strong note and not outstay its welcome. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Friday Night Lights: Season 5 | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Ross Ruediger Bullz-Eye.com The people of Dillon show us the best in ourselves, and if that's the definition of predictable, then TV is sorely lacking in predictable fare, and the end of Friday Night Lights will be felt for years to come.
